Gabriel Tomàs Rodríguez

Born in Barcelona, Spain, in 2011. Since 2023, he studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music’s Aline Foriel-Destezet Cello Chair with professor Ivan Monighetti. He has been granted a scholarship by Fundación Albéniz.

At the age of 4, he started her cello studies with professor Eulalia Subirà. Since the 2020-2021 academic year he furthered his training at the Escola Artistica Oriol Martorell with professor Gaëtane Duyslaenger. He has attended masterclasses by María de Macedo, María Casado, Carey Beth Hockett, and Arnau Tomàs.

In 2022 he was awarded the first prize at the 4th International Cello Competition Luthiers Clar and in 2021 he was finalist of the III City of Estepona Young Performers Competition.
